Talked to a rep. at the Mint about the 5oz pucks

BigEBigE Posts: 6,949 ✭✭✭
The rep told me there was a meeting yesterday to discuss shipments before the end of the year and whether the PUBLIC SHOULD BE ABLE TO BUY DIRECTLY from the Mint. Thought I would post this, take it for what it is worth because it was a "customer service specialist" I talked toimage------------BigE

If they run these thru the distributors they are going to pocket a phat premium. They'd be smart to distribute them themselves and pocket that premium (but we are talking about a govt operation, aren't we?).

Since the pucks are bullion items (I believe) and not proofs, probably would not be as many returns from the public for quality issues. However, if the price of silver dropped a few bucks between order and delivery they'd probably get em all backimage----------------BigE

That's why they only sell the bullion eagles to licensed distributors who know better than to try that krep.

Yeah, and if you aren't paying attention to his website frequently, some interesting stuff slips away. He's a sneaky dude.image

Here's another one I like, cause I have not the faintest idea of what Mr. DeLorey is trying to tell me. Thick as a Brick, as it were...
