    I love RE halves and your has a terrific strike. My pair of 1838 RE halves are an AU55 and an MS63. They are cool coins.

    I've been looking for a little while now for an eye appealing choice AU 1838 to hang out with my 1837 PCGS 55..... who knows, maybe these two beauties will meet one day image

    Your reeded edges are fab. If I could have found them that nice, I probably wouldn't have gone MS to Gem( maybe)

    Here are my Capped Bust, Reeded Edge half dollars. They are two distinct types although some people lump them together.

    1837 "50 CENTS"

    I've owned a couple of 1839-O half dollars and would like to own one for a longer period. They just kind of slipped though my fingers when I was a dealer.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
