I've been looking for a little while now for an eye appealing choice AU 1838 to hang out with my 1837 PCGS 55..... who knows, maybe these two beauties will meet one day
Congrats on a beautiful CBH!!!
Your reeded edges are fab. If I could have found them that nice, I probably wouldn't have gone MS to Gem( maybe)

1837 "50 CENTS"
1838 "Half Dol"
I've owned a couple of 1839-O half dollars and would like to own one for a longer period. They just kind of slipped though my fingers when I was a dealer.
<< <i>This might be my favorite series and it gets relatively little attention, so I will bring this to the top again with an MS 1838 RE half and the images are by Mark Goodman-
OMG, Tom....stunning!!!!!!!!
And Bill:
They are two distinct types although some people lump them together.
1837 "50 CENTS"
Love it!!!!
