These autos look real? DiMaggio, Ripken, Jordan

Recently bought a collection of stuff, and hoping not to get another stamped ball image lol

Sorry about the photos, the dimaggio, which is in a case decided to go perfectly, while the others are pretty eh.

He told me he didn't think the Jordan was real, and didn't know on the DiMaggio, I think the ripken is good and same with the mantle.

Dude, please stop buying stuff off of people and stick to buying stuff that has been verified by a legit company like PSA.
  • Looks pretty close to this, and thats got psa/dna on it

So don't buy an item without a CoA it is fake?

How do items get CoA's then?

If you don't think they are real, then say that, don't tell me not to buy stuff. I'm going to continue to buy things regardless because that's what I do.

    Edit*
I'm asking for a reason, because I don't know and I wanted to get some opinions, if you don't like me asking don't click my threads.

    Anything questionable, I'm not listing.
  • There are plenty of legitimate items out there that haven't been "blessed" by the authenticators but if you are going to dive in it is probably better to educate yourself first as far as what to look for as to ask questions on the back end. The trouble is that the highly collected players like Mantle, Williams, DiMaggio and Jordan for instance were the favorites of the forgers and they got very good at them. If I was buying a "one-off" of one of these guys I would probably gravitate toward an authenticated one. However if I was buying a large collection of say period auto'd cards, an autograph book, a signed scorecard with multiple signatures, etc. I would be more comfortable without authentication. In the end even with authentication it's no guarantee it's real, you are paying for an informed best guess.
    Collecting Pre-War, Pre-War HOF Types, Pre-War Postcards
  • These came in a pretty big collection. I threw the mantle in there (That has double authentication) because I'm sure someone will say "its not authentic" just because I know there are some debbie downers here.

The Jordan was given to me free, and the dimaggio came in the collection (which regardless of it being real or not, I did very well on)

    Edit*
Just put it on ebay and did a quickopinion from psa just for kicks and giggles

Don't be. This is pretty damn shady to say the least. Spread the love, or the stupidity.
  • The only ones listed are mantle and ripken, both of which have coas thanks

Edit* Because of people who seem to think anything without authentication is fake I put those there for comments, said that earlier.

  • Alright, actually traded the ripken to someone on another forum, and sending the dimaggio along with it- hes going to the sun times show, and we'll see if it gets authenticated.
