Testing the PM knowledge on this forum

I have a chance to buy several hundred oz's of Sterling Flatware. I need to get a very concrete feel for the value. The refinery in my city is ran by a jackass. This city seems to be dead of anyone that knows the best way to liquidate it.

Which are some of the refineries around the country that give the best price / best terms, as in below 1000 oz lot for silver ?

Any that don't play games and can be trusted long distance ?

Are there any that pay for Sterling marked items without having to smelt it ?

That will lock in a price via phone the way APMEX and other bullion dealers will do ?

Am I better off melting it myself into bars prior to liquidating, easier to ship and quicker assay and payment to catch the right spot price when I'm ready to sell ?

West Coast would be best.

Has anyone heard of Hill Street area in L.A. ? I'm not in CA, someone mentioned to me today that it's the silver/gold/diamond district of the West Coast. New to me.

Thanks for your input.

I hear midwestrefinery is a good place.

Member scrapman1077 said he would trade 1 oz silvers rounds per every 1.2 oz of sterling or something like that. You should contact him.
