overpopulation, overuse, misuse, and abuse of natural resources, environmental degradation, stressing natural, nutrient cycling to a point it can no longer proceed at dependable rates, yeah, I'm really sweatin' gold going to the moon, ...or falling below $X.

Very tough to buy at these levels. I am sure very few have the money to buy right now, so hard to sell too.

You can sell 100 ounces of gold at melt value EASILY at a number of locations here in Chicago. Just remember that the reason the prices move up is that people WANT to buy the commodity. I have never once had a problem selling any precious metal at any level in my adult life.

rr, it's a crazy "opposite world." So much in the last two years can only be explained that way.

now this is an accurate OBSERVATION. Have you ever noticed theres never/seldom any BUBBLE calls on the rare/collectible coin market, and yet you want to talk about BUBBLES in a market that are traded very thin compared to PM's.. makes you wonder what if any they have in their investment portfollios. JMHO.

Regarding your last line....I remember in 1994 during the Rodney King riots in LA that I need to get the he// out of here. Two years later we moved two hours up the coast and eventually to Western Colorado. There is much comfort and peace living far away from the "megalopolis." The nearest "megaopolis" in any direction is four hours. Riots can happen anywhere but at least the numbers are much reduced.

Gold consolidating in the 1380's to take a run at a new record. $1400 will probably get blown away shortly seeing as everything else gold and silver is making new highs (or lows in the case of the gold to silver ratio).

I'm sure if you look back through posts you'll find a number of people that were looking for 47, as well as numbers much lower over the next few yrs.

Fwiw I assumed a GSR of 45 back in December when I made my 2010 end of year predictions for gold and silver ($1425 / $32). High to mid- 40's could well be a target of this current run before it ends next spring/early summer.

I agree on your time frame, but I believe that your projections are on the LOW side.
