Newest Addition to my Specialized Winged Head Liberty Dime Collection

MFHMFH Posts: 11,720 ✭✭✭✭

I have just added the Philadelphia Minted 1917 "Mercury" Dime to
my small collection of these beautiful Dimes.

1917-P PCGS 65 FB

BTW - This collection will consist of only 1917 [ My Dad's Birthyear ] & 1921 [ My Mom's Birthyear ]

I only need the 1917-D to complete what I set out to do.

Cool. I know you put a lot of thought into making that set.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

    Aren't mercs awesome?!

Your little set will have super special meaning for a long, long time.

I put together a very pedestrian date set of mercs a few years ago. I'm going back now and upgrading them to graded coins. So far I have 2, FSB 1916's. Hey, I'm on a roll!!!

The luster on the reverse makes the fields look liquid. Awesome find.

Nice, I recently made a 66FB 1917 P Merc. It's one of my favorite coins in my collection.

    Broadstruck,

The 17-D in 65FB is a pricey coin - but - I'll keep my eyes open.

I love the 1917-S that I bought from you...

Mike, you might as well crack out that 17-S in 62 and spend it. Something is wrong with it...it's not even on the planchet right!?image
