As much as I would love to think we could force a game 7....I just don't see why it would even matter. This Hawks team is the most unpredictable sports team I have seen in the last 25 years! Congrats on your win tonight. IF....(and that's a BIG IF) we win game 6, you can celebrate the series win on your home floor. BTW....I sometimes get criticized and made fun of for being a fan of Allen Iverson...but I see a lot of similarities (on court only of course) in the way Rose approaches plays the game. No question and no contest on the MVP choice! imageimage

It will go 7. Even when the Hawks used to get the 7/8 seed every year, they'd always push the mighty Celtics to 7 games. Hawks never won those series, but they always went 7.

James, Wade, Bosh vs. Rose image

Who wins this battle, in the "second season" (playoffs)?

I think for the Bulls to win this, Rose will need some "co-stars"

Knocking-off the Celtics in 5 games, shows that the Heat have grown from the regular season!

This should be fun. I pick my "home team", the Miami Heat in 5 games!

P.S. Rose is great! The rest of the Bulls played fantastic in the regular season. But this group of players, IMO overachieved and will need to continue overachieving to beat the likes of the talent level of the Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks (this assumes the Mavs get by the Thunder/Grizzlies winner). Good luck to all! I, like the rest of you who have "a team left", will enjoy the semis & finals, no matter what!

Boozer may have woke up and realized the playoffs have started after what he did last night!

    10-16, 23 Pts
    10 Rebs, 5 Assists
  • its going to game 7, but stop one of the big 3 and the bulls should be alright

Heat favored to beat the Bulls.

    By Jon Greenberg
    ESPNChicago.com

After clinching a spot in the Eastern Conference finals, Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose was asked about sweeping the Miami Heat in the regular-season series.

"The regular season is over with," he said. "The way that they play right now is totally different."

    Las Vegas agrees.

The No. 2 seed Heat, who just finished a 4-1 series over the defending Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics, are favored, almost 2-to-1, to beat the No. 1 Bulls in the best-of-seven series that starts at 7 p.m. CT Sunday at United Center.

Although it looked rough at times, the Bulls really had few problems closing out their first two series, going 8-3 against Indiana and Atlanta, but Miami's dynamic duo of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade looks formidable right now.

The Las Vegas Hilton has priced the Heat at -190, while the MGM Race and Sports and Book has them at -185. The Hilton has the Bulls at +170 to win the series.

Both books have the Bulls favored to win the opener by 1½ points.

The Heat are 5-6 at the MGM, and 5-4 at the Hilton, to win the NBA championship. The Bulls are 2-1 and 5-2, respectively.

  • 82-103 W great performance by the whole team!

    >>>>> Without Noah's lack of scoring the Bulls will have a hard time making-up
Noah's usual 10-12 points per game (...as Noah scored only one point in last night's game 3 loss).

IMO, Noah needs to realize he's not playing in the NCAA any longer
and needs to mature as a person, not just as a player.

IMO, he's on a short leash with his team and the Bulls will dump him,
if they can replace his talents next year!

Joakim Noah Apologizes To Fan for "Gay Slur"

edit: by: Nick Friedell ESPNChicago.com and ESPN 1000
    May 22, 2011

MIAMI -- Bulls center Joakim Noah apologized for allegedly using a gay slur
toward a fan during Chicago's 96-85 loss to the Miami Heat in Game 3
    of the Eastern Conference finals.

Noah was angry after picking up his second foul with 6:26 left in the first quarter.
After sitting down on the bench he turned to his right and shouted toward a fan.

"I apologize," Noah said. "The fan said something to me that I thought was disrespectful,
and I got caught up in the moment, and I said some things that I shouldn't have said.
I was frustrated and I don't mean no disrespect to anybody. I just got caught up."

Noah said he expects to be fined for the comment.
NBA spokesman Tim Frank declined to comment on the incident.

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant was fined $100,000 by the NBA
for directing a gay slur toward referee Bennie Adams
during a game against the San Antonio Spurs on April 12.

"While I'm fully aware that basketball is an emotional game,
such a distasteful term should never be tolerated,"
Commissioner David Stern said in a statement.
"Accordingly, I have fined Kobe $100,000. Kobe and everyone associated
with the NBA know that insensitive or derogatory comments
are not acceptable and have no place in our game or society."

Noah scored just one point to go along with five rebounds
and struggled defensively against the Heat's Chris Bosh,
who had 34 points as Miami went up 2-1 in the series.

Think the Bulls will need the "Oprah audience" at the UC! image

    (Just kidding!)...

Great game, like a heavyweight fight going the distance! Heat wins a "split decision"!

I hated the last time down the court for the Bulls in regulation. What a terrible shot selection by Rose! No ball movement, 1 on 1 against Lebron, very selfish decision in my opinion. That game should have never gone to OT in the first place. If they get the ball in the paint, I really think we would be looking at a 2-2 series! I knew as soon as he put it up it wasn't going in. He should have know better on a night he had been shooting so poorly! They had no chance in overtime! image

i completely agree, perhaps at the worst he should've drove and hoped for a foul not wait so long and have a terrible shot. Boozer fouling in the 4th and ot were daggers

I believe it was either teams game for the taking heading into the 4th quarter the past three games. Miami has executed at clutch time and Chicago has folded each of these games.
This will be a huge learning experience for Rose and he will only get better and smarter from these playoffs. This series really proves that Chicago needs to find more offense for Rose next year.
I've been very impressed with Miami this series and I give them their props.
  • terrible 3 minutes of basketball from the bulls blowing an 11 point lead

    Speechless! Wow

to be honest, I thought this game was O~V~E~R~

and I changed the channel to watch the end of NCIS

in a few minutes I turned the channel back to see how much the Bulls won by

i was totally floored to witness a 79 79 tie with 1:01 left! wow

an 18 to 3 run with a few minutes left? give me a break!

    what's next?

IMO, I do not think Dallas will be able to stop the Heat the way the Bulls did!

    Go Heat!

Miami has risen to become the best defensive team in the NBA, edging-out the Bulls!

Defense, combined with "the big three", they look unstopable to me!
