Got out to the same field again yesterday. Picked up this item - the only coin. Apparently (according to a member on Treasurenet) it's some sort of 1700s King George III halfpence (possibly/probably a counterfeit). Either way, still a neat find even though it's pretty much toast. The reverse is obliterated, so no pics needed of that.

I havent found even a wheat cent. The only "notable" thing I found was a 1927 Brunswick Chauffeur Badge.

It's a field that's attached to the oldest house in the town its in. So, not too much research needed other than talking to the owner. He said the house was built in 1768. It looked old, but certainly not 230 years old!
