You can access your "watched list" from the site and set snipes from there. Also, it emails you if at anytime during the auction your snipe is surpassed.
I've used several, but everyone, even those satisfied with their paid services, should give BiddingScheduler a try.
edited to add: oh, and I've had ZERO failures...even on a night that I had more than 20 snipes go off in a 5 minute period.
I also use BiddingScheduler.com. I have set hundreds if not thousands of snipes and only once did it not fire because of a technical problem. It is a free service and easy to use.
Nice software and I've NEVER had an issue (not true of some of the other software that I've used)! Amazing that HA can have such a nice and easy to use sniping/bidding software, but has one of the more difficult to navigate auction sites.
I'm a convert to the same. I used to use justsnipe and the, what was it, five free snipes per week it offers? During a high-volume bidding spree I went through this past year trying to complete my '62 set, I subscribed for unlimited snipes on justsnipe. When I was done and I canceled my subscription, they kept charging me. I called the 800 # and emailed them with no response. Finally, because I was paying with PayPal, I filed a complaint, got my subscription canceled and a refund for the extra month they charged me. "No mas" justsnipe for me. I found out about biddingscheduler in a post here and have been using it since with no problems.
while snipe bidding is here to stay. I for one believe this is why there are more and more buy it nows and less auctions. 1. dealers/collectors just don't want to gamble a 100-2000 dollar card on a 99 cent auction and hope the in the last 20 seconds that it gets sniped up to market value.
2. I also believe it has caused more shill bidding, the seller sets up a snipe acct and then snipes his own auction with a minute or 2 to go or just puts in an early bid in the auction for the least amount he will take.
two things we have to live with until ebay figures a way to stop shill bidding and doesn't allow snipe bidding programs. JMHO
I don't use a snipe program, I will do it the old fashioned way put in my highest bid from the get go or wait and manually bid with 10 seconds to go.
I would love for ebay to make a program that extends the auction 15 minutes for any bids made within the last minute of an auction.
Bidnip is one of the best and VERY affordable. They charge 25 cents per snipe (less if you buy more....you pay up front), and they only deduct a snipe if you actually win the auction. I used to use auctionsniper, but they charged a percentage of the sell price. Actually quite pricey if you won a card over $1,000.......
