Collierville, TN is only a hop skip and a jump from my hometown of Corinth, MS. I wish that I knew then what I know now about detecting sites like these. I can remember jumping hills and gullies on my bike in my backyard and the adjoining woods only to find out 20 years later that they were the remains of breastworks when the US troops were marching through Farmington, MS from the Battle of Corinth to the Battle of Shiloh. These places are long gone and now have houses standing in their places. image
