Step away from the screen. Today is as good a day as any to buy or sell. Let's review. What were the prices of gold & silver a year ago? Gold was at $1,052.00 and silver was at $17.50.

    There, feel any better now?image

After watc hing PMs for a few years I've noticed that for every up there's a down, but the ups have always been a tad higher than the downs. In the end, the down is nothing more than "PMs on sale". image

I promised you resistance at $24.

Some of this is resistance but most is the rise in the dollar.

All the trends are still firmly in place.

And we're still dependent on being able to feed everyone.

    I love the "SPLUNGE" reference.

"...It's a great idea but possibly not and I'm not being indecisive!"

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Is anyone really suprised that there's a correction after the major run up in PM's?

Nothing to get excited about. This is just another buying opportunity. You might find that very few are

selling actual silver. Most of the sales are paper.

Not to sure if that is still the case. Not everyone believes in $50 silver just around the corner, me included.

Yeppers. China's inflation number came in real hot and traders are worried that they will need to cool off their growth. The Shanghai composite index was down over 5% yesterday.

On a side note, the G20 refused to take up the United States case against China for what the US calls currency manipulation. No one has a leg to send on. Everyone needs a growing China whether they like it or not.

Hummmmmmmmm...a little shake out for the weak hands but I've seen this before and it looks kind of like a death spiral where it consolidates and drops and then keeps doing it over and over until it finally bottoms. Alternatively, I've seen shake outs like this before where people get scared at a lack of sustained growth and run away or they have to make margin requirements from a plunging stock market so they burn off all their physical first.

This past weekend, there were three full page ads for two different hotel guys looking for any pm...full page on Sunday for a one paper town of 3.5 million people; I figure 5 digits a page all in the face of falling pm prices? This is a good time to look and see if the fundamentals have changed, if the demand has changed, or if you believe that the price point is prohibitive or alluring.

Fundamentals now look about the same to me now as they did at 1990.00. We've got a local coin show here in a couple of weeks so it should offer a pretty good representation of the situation to make some prognostications.

    Pssssssssttt hey Buddy...GOT CASH?

To me the charts are looking for a drop to 28 and possibly 26 for silver. I will wait for further conformation of a bottom
