FMV for 1/10th Gold Englehard Prospector

Gold has never been my thing but I'm starting to get more into it & trying to learn . . .

Anyway saw THIS & thought it was cool so I put in a snipe for $161.
Figured that it was worth maybe what a 1/10 GAE sells for at retail (APMEX).

Should I have set a higher bid or am I lucky to have lost this one?

Thank Ya'll in advance for the help!

John

That was a great price ....easily worth about 180-220 bucks.

The seller mispelled Engelhard ( he wrote englehard ) that probably cost him quite a bit.

WOW I didn't realize that they sell that high.

I regreted not bidding a little higher after it was over . . . Sure would like to have some of those.

For a 1/10th oz. Prospector, I wouldn't pay any higher premium than I would for a 1/10 oz. AGE, but that's just me.

  • This went cheap by around $75 +/- .........

To bad for the seller that I did not see it.

    Oh well ........

While the Engelhard in it's assay card adds a premium, no way I'd pay $200 for a 1/10oz. This buyer got a good price for sure though.
