How much silver is actually in these? (pics included)

Hello,

I've had these for several years. Please let me know how much silver is actually in each one.

This one has 24 karat on one side and .999 pure silver on the other side. The remainder of the text is "First Colorado Gold Rush - 1858 24 karat" and "Historic Colorado Mining - .999 pure silver"

I have three of these

Thanks for the help, I'm trying to figure out how much actual silver I have.
I still call my accumulation my collection!

It looks like the brothel tokens I have and they're about .66 of an ounce IIRC. The outside ring isn't silver only the core.
  • Greetings 2525 ....

It looks like it might say on the ribbon between the eagles wings.

If not, some times it will be marked on the rim.

It looks like the entire medal is .999 fine with selective gold plating.

If you can not find a weight marking on them, take 1 to any

" we buy gold" joint or jewlery store at the mall & they will

    weight it for you.

The tokens with the brass outer rings need to be weighted to determine the % of Silver. Your tokens are similar to the $10 Casino Strikes and most weigh about 1.2 t oz ...with only the inner core being made of Silver which would translate to approx .6 toz. However, not all Tokens will weigh the same. I've seen some that only weigh 1 t oz or less.
