Anybody willing to trade a 52 Topps Mantle for it? Haha (I collect all kinds of cards, just having fun)

I concur. Based on his last response, he's obviously been here before. Reminds me a lot of kshorton.

While talking about '78 cards, a 1978 Topps Thurman Munson PSA 9 is very undervalued at $22! I have two Superman 3 36 pack boxes I will rip and grade if these cards have a good market so hopefully they will.

holy smokes that's an early Superman pin! What do you want for it? For real?

That is a nice card of Superman. There are not a lot of these PSA 9s out there, so whoever wants one will have a tough time finding one. Granted, the demand is not so high either. When the new movie comes out in 2012, one should see movement on this card particularly because it has Superman in an iconic pose and many regard Christopher Reeve's version of Superman to be the best one.

In regards to the price he paid for the card, its not beyond reasonable. The card was graded, so that makes it worth $8 in grading expenses alone at least. Many of these cards do not come out MINT from packs. Since the TheBlackSuit does not want to the entire collection, just singles that he likes, I think his approach was well warranted. I use to collect these as a child and bought some unopened boxes a few years ago for nostalgia reasons.
"So many of our DREAMS at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we SUMMON THE WILL they soon become INEVITABLE "- Christopher Reeve

I'm not sure, but I do know that PGX is like the GAI of the card grading world. To realize full value, the comics need to be graded by CGC or not at all......unless you just want to pay a cheaper cost to get them slabbed. PGX will never realize the value that CGC does.
