They had halves for 6.50 and quarters for 3.25...even some SLQ's. But its cash only so I spent what I had. I may have to make another trip tomorrow though.

They had several more ASE's, but with a fairly thick enamel color coat, for $19.00 If anyone knows if acetone will remove that, I'll pick them up too.

The Peace Dollars were $16
The GM rounds were $19.50
The colorized ASE was $19.00

The two large cents were $2.00 each. I picked them up since the holes were from square nails.

this month I aslo decided to buy some gold....I'm quite a bit leary at these levels, but had an opportunity so I dipped in.
I'm in these at $3K and feel like I've overpaid. Comments on where I should be happy buying common saints welcome.

You did fine on those 2 saints as you couldn't buy them much cheaper than about $3200-$3250 from a major gold wholesaler/retailer. And with a 1910 vice 1924 you have a date that's more interesting as well. You're in at under the major's sight-unseen buy price for spot free coins right now so you are fine. If gold corrects you could take a short term hit but you'll probably be smiling come next year.

You may not have to worry about uncolorizing the ASE. Apmex sells them as-is for about silver spot so you did good on that one too. They are a nice remembrance about a time when colorizing coins for profit was the craze. It's still an ounce of silver and melts just as easy as any other ounce.

You did good. The colorized garbage can be sold for a premium over spot on eBay. Seems to be popular, some are even selling for more than the uncolored ones.
