Saw your one single listing on the BST for a 1/2 oz 2007 proof platinum, where you wrongly stated the mintage by an enormous amount. The correct mintage number for this coin is 25,519, making it easily the highest mintage of all 1/2 oz proofs.

That's funny.... I thought they minted less proofs then regular ASEs. Are you sure you are not counting all the 2007s together? I believe they minted far less then 25,519 half ounce proofs. I also believe that not many were graded PCGS PR70 Decam. O well.... if it turns out you are right at least I should be able to sell my plat. for melt shouldn't I? I mean it is real platinum.

2007 anniversary sets had 19K 1/2 ounce platinum regular proofs in them plus the regular run of the single 1/2 ounce-so 25 K is probably right.
In the heyday when platinum was $2300 an oucne apmex would be frequently sold out. It could reach that again not because of speculation but because of dollar destruction.

What you missed was the 2007 Reverse Proof set that contained a 1/2 ounce proof too. That set along put the 2007 proofs over 19,000. It's the highest mintage coin due to that special set.

My number for the 2-coin sets is 16,937. Then you must add in the individual coin sales, plus the 4-coin sets. The total number I have is 39,810 but I'm not sure if that is correct either.
Either way, a PR-70 DCAM is nice, and either way the platinum is still a good investment.

Your 39810 apparently includes the reverse proof, which of course shouldn't be lumped with the regular proof. The total 2-coin sets of 2007W 1/2 oz proof & reverse proof Pt was 19583.
I have the 2007 PCGS FS DCAM 70 AND Reverse Proof 70 self made as part of my collection. Its a nice set but the demand is not that great for these. Bought at $1900 from the mint. So almost breaking even with the set in bullion value.

Thanks! I must have double-counted the Proofs from the 2-coin sets at some point.

Full compliment of Palladium items is still available
Last time it got this high and above, it's world starting melting. That is a shame considering there is such little new material.
The US Mint proofs are already made in such low numbers that at (soon to be) over $2000 per ounce spot, their rarity will expotentially increase.
