There are two ways to conquer and enslave a nation. One is by the sword. The other is by debt.

The government is incapable of ever managing the economy. That is why communism collapsed. It is now socialism’s turn - Martin Armstrong

I'm pretty sure you two are very facetious. Jim Rogers is the most sought after guest on Bloomberg News and CNBC . He was a staple during the financial crisis and makes for great TV. He has called for Bernanke to be fired, for the end of the Fed and has called the US Dollar flawed and to exit it.......He was short the market before and during the crisis and closed his shorts right after. He has been spot ona roll for quite a long time. He actually makes Soros look irrelavant. MJ
Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
I prefer Jim Rogers over George Soros... 'less' political... imo
My favorite was when he admitted his worst call... not having children. He's one proud Papa now... I respect that.
He will usually carry a packet of sugar, and a gold coin into an interview.
<< <i>Last I heard he and his family migrated to China. >>
He moved Singapore. He wrote a book, " A Bull in China".................MJ

I really haven't heard much from him, he used to be on all the time. I did hear him on CNBC a couple of times, but that is all. No TV here, maybe that's why, I catch the audio on CNBC How long ago was "Investment Biker", 20 years???
I'm out of touch out here in the sticks, I've never heard Bloomberg. I see that it is on XM radio, I am going to test drive it.
There is also a site that touts: "The Only Authorized Jim Rogers Website" link

He was advising to short Freddie and Fannie may long before they collapsed. Because of his recommendation, I had a short position on in FNM when the stock was in the 40s. The stock is worthless. He called for shorting Citibank as well when it was in the 30s. Citi is no under $4. He's been bullish on Gold and silver and other commodities for a decade or more and still advocates long positions in Gold, Silver, and some commodities. I think he's a savvy wit.
