On my way to Philadelphia

So far, I have not purchased or sold any coins, but I did have a bagel. More later.

A bagel proves nothing... neither do coins... once you've had a cheese steak, we can be assured you are truly in Philly ... image
Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free image

On the plane now, United flight #664 (B747-400) Business Class seat 8G (it's a rear facing middle seat but it still beats the back of the plane).

Just checked the weather forecast for the next few days. Looks like we'll get drenched on Thursday.

WTCG, ask the older fellow and his niece if they're traveling for business or for pleasure. You'll find a hook. History, beauty, tangibles, you've got a good story to tell. They should come visit the crown jewels of American coinage on display at the show in Philly.

Stop giving such precise information about your location.

Be sure to get authentic "Philadelphia" brand cream cheese on your bagel.

    Uh ColonelJessup:

    You stated:

According to Wikipedia which I know to be correct in this case:

"According to the American food processing company Kraft Foods, the first American cream cheese was made in Chester, New York in 1872 by American dairyman William Lawrence, as the result of an unsuccessful attempt he had made to create a batch of Neufchâtel cheese.[citation needed] In 1880, 'Philadelphia' was adopted as the brand name, after the city that was considered at the time to be the home of top quality food."

Many years ago I tried the numismatic angle as a hook for conversation with a cute girl on a plane and I learned that talking about coins is the perfect sedative and girl repellent. Never again.

Believe me, I never give information that would compromise security. Any information I post here is either expired or in my opinion does not pose a significant security risk.
