1988 P dime

I ran across a1988 P with a large P touching the first 8. Can anyone tell me if this is a common die variety for the P? I have not seen any others like it. Thank you.

I believe the mint was still hand-punching the mintmarks into the dies in '88, so there will be variation in the mintmark position from die to die. If possible, post a photo or scan here so we can have a look...

This was around the time that hand punching was ending for dimes. I can't
recall having seen this one.

to post pictures of any size, people put them on another web site, then link the image here.

photobucket is a popular site some use here.
