I finally did it -- I took the EAC plunge.

I just sent in my membership fee for the EAC. It is too nerdly of me to be really excited about this? I have never formally joined a numismatic organization before. image

It's pretty nerdly to be a coin collector to begin with!image

I confess that I have found the reputation of the alleged EAC sub-culture intriguing. I want to be among the elect.

Congrats! As a member of several numismatic organizations, including EAC, BHNC, ANA and others, I can say that the EACers might be a little nerdier than the average coin collector, but they are a good group of people. Many members don't love TPG slabs, preferring instead to hold their coins.

grade the copper coin to the lowest possible details grade you can fathom, then go one lower.

add the appropriate modifier... Choice, Average, or Scudzy

    voila!

I've been toying with the idea of joining EAC for some time now. This is definitely an important evolutionary step! Next step it the camel hair brush.
