This thread reminds me of a story about Microsoft. In their big time stock move days in the late 90's, the campus had screens every 100 feet or so showing the Dow, Nasdaq an MS quotes.
When the market got crushed a few years later, all the screens were removed.

what's funny is, unlike a real ride, the first part, the climb to the highest point, with the chain clinking and clicking and tuggin and you leaning back in your seat and raisin your arms, that's the fun part with silver.
coasting back into the station and facing that long winding line again, not so much
