Any idea what Jimmy Carter's "rookie" card would be??

I'm going to be seeing Jimmy Carter on October 29th at a book signing, and of course, I'd like to get a rookie card signed for my collection. In the past, from my own experience of meeting him before on a few occasions, he is typically ameniable to signing other items to a degree as long as you can get them past staff and security and get them in front of him.

Does anyone know what Carter's "rookie" card would be??

I've seen the large format Sportscaster cards from the late 70's, but I'd prefer a standard (2.5 x 3.5 or close) sized trading card that will fit in my pocket.

Any ideas on what to look for??

I'm not going to debate political ideologies or stuff related to his comments yesterday or anything like that in this thread. I'm just simply looking for his "rookie" card and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

I dont recall, but its possible some of the Topps American Pie sets may have a Carter in it, since I remember seeing a couple of Bushes and a Clinton. (No pun intended)

1992 is way too recent for a rookie collection.

I know that JEC had cards in the 60s and 70s.
I saw them in person many times. They were,
IIRC, private issue and looked just like the then
    contemporary baseball card.

    If you call some antique/collectible/ephemera
dealers in Georgia, you should be able to find
    more than one example.

    I like the fishing pic.

I would be inclined to buy one of the games
    that has 250 different cards.

Looks like that might end up being the best choice as I'm having trouble finding a 70's issue other than the Sportscasters cards.

I think I remember seeing him on a card in the late 70s Wacky Packs. Had something to do with the Peter Pan Peanut Butter stick. image

I doubt there is much before 1977 for old Jimmy. He never ran for vice-president and was the Governor of Georgia from 71-76.
