Any examples of "ammoniated" gold coins?

I'm curious to know if anyone here is familiar with the look of ammoniated gold versus untreated gold coins. My friend notes (based on the pictures alone...not seen in hand by him) that he believes that the coin below (different lighting) has been treated with ammonia at one time and I'm not familiar enough with the technique to notice any such thing. This coin appears to be market acceptable to me...true?

That coin looks good to me and PCGS should slab that coin. What's a "ammoniated" coin supposed to look like?

I heard of Iodine used on gold but never Ammonia.

I used some dilute ammonia & soap to clean some die grease off some Kennedy Halves a few years ago. It is a degreaser, but I'm not sure if the surface of the coins was affected. I suppose it could affect some types of deposits on metals more than others, like sulfate on copper.
