This is why you NEVER send a PSA graded card in a PWE!!

Just a quick note to sellers to NEVER send a graded card in a PWE!! The seller tried to cheap it out, and I sure coulda used this one for my Registry set....

...and this is from a seller with 100% feedback and a Top Rated Seller to boot.....I would have thought he would have known better than that.

    No...not TOO much....I paid $32 for it. The market has dropped ALOT of the Batman cards....I believe Dutymon got out at the right time when he sold his #4 graded set......

    Unfortunately, I can pull apart the top from the bottom, and the card had a crease in it. If it didn't have the crease, I would have sent it off to PSA and hoped they could just reholder it. I believe they charge $5 for reholdering. With the case being compromised however, they would have to grade it again, and there is NO WAY that card is getting an '8' with the crease in it......

    I have always wondered about VCP regarding a damaged product....do they delete the sale as though it never happened, or does it still stand?

    I think the price should stand. Before the card met its end, the market determined that it was worth X amount.

    I think he meant he wonders if VCP took into account the actual sell price versus the original BIN price.

    Overall, shipping quality has gone down hill in the last few years. Folks are saving on

    Why are you complaining. It's not that it was an expensive or a rare care and the seller wasn't misleading you in the auction.

    PS - not really complaining....stuff happens......just showed this as a warning to other sellers to NEVER ship in a PWE. It creates too much trouble....

    Doesn't matter where you bought it, what matters is the fact you knew it failed being graded and made the atempt to pass it on to someone else. That person wasted money sending it in for grading and you still don't get it. You are funny.

    I made a mistake!! I forgot!!! Do I need to write on the blackboard 1,000 times?? I have had THOUSANDS of successful transactions....my feedback is over 5,000. I am forever gonna be remembered for selling that one card?? Might as well put me on a cross and crucify me......

    If you sent in a card that was rejected and then sold it on ebay without mentioning that detail, I'd say that was rather dishonest, IMO..


    Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

    How many times do I have to say that? Almost every single one of you has bought a card from me at one time or another, whether you realize it or not.........I can only apoligze so much.........thank heavans I am quitting the hobby.

    No I do not sell on ebay...I don't sell what I buy. Its for my personal family collection. And what does that have to do with you lying to us?

    I can understand forgetting about one card, but you posted on a couple of other boards about the card, before and after the sale.

    Also, did something in your head not go, Ding Dong when the buyer sent you a message stating the problem? So it didn't refresh your memory and then you started a thread to bash the buyer and to publicly name him out. Shame on you Bobby!

    We have people who sell counterfeits and even ask stupid questions like "should I get these graded by GEM, I mean, they aren't counterfeits, they are reprints!"

    We have people who have thousands of mint 55 Bowmans of one of the top players laying around, so they forgot which one went out for grading.

    The list goes on and on and on and on and on.......

    I mean, what Bobby did was something I would not have done (sell a card that came back EOT w/o disclosing that information in the listing) but what else is he to do with the card? If he listed it as EOT in the eBay listing, who is to say that the buyer will be honest when they sell it? Should Bobby stamp the card "EOT?" Should he hole-punch it? Throw it away or burn it? It's his property, why are people here telling him what he can and cannot do with it? Why are you looking through his threads and eBay listings? Why are you following him on other message sites? Why are you out to get someone for no reason whatsoever than for your own personal amusement? Someone here once said that card collectors are the "garbage of collecting world." PSA clearly harbors such trash on their site. Eventually things will get out of hand and PSA will claim that their "Disclaimer" will be enough to protect them...it probably will be, but what good is it if they don't follow their own rules?

    I've sold a couple of EOT or Min Size Req. cards on ebay before, but always with the PSA label stating why it was rejected. I do take quite a hit on the value of the card, but that's life I suppose. I'm sure the buyer is just flipping it, but that's on them.

    I have, however, tried to sell a card that was PSA 4 (eg. a badly OC 1979 Ozzie Smith RC), and I couldn't give it away for $14.99. So I cracked it out of the slab and it sold for almost $30 raw.

    Most of the time it's a bad idea to buy raw cards with the intent to grade them, from a seller who subs his own cards. Personally I try not to buy raw cards from people who sub cards.

    I noticed someone who bought some EX-EX-MT cards from me for under $5 cracked and sold the cards raw for 3-4x what they paid for them. They were '79 OPCs and had good eye-appeal, just some hairline creases present. Even though they were advertised as NM-MT I never felt the need to make a post about it here and/or cause physical/emotional harm to that buyer/seller.

    Once I sold a GEM 1980 Gretzky and gave 100% of the eBay money to charity. In the listing I said that the card appears to have been trimmed.

    Another time I sold a Bourque RC that came back EOT on eBay with the red flip so that the seller knew what they were getting.
