NGC or PCGS seem to go for quite a bit. Can someone give me a reason as to why I should or should
not buy these coins. Not the political side to it, but are they a safe way to store value ?

Pandas tend to go for a bit more because of increasing collector base.
They typically have lower mintages than other bullion products
and a design that changes every year.
There is no reason not to buy the coins
They are very liquid here in my neck of the woods.

I noticed on ebay that they are not as liquid as other forms of gold.

Really? Please show a few examples where a gold panda failed to sell on ebay for at least melt. What exactly is your definition of "liquid"? Mine is "any object that can readily and immediately be sold for fair market value at any given point in time". According to my idea of "liquid", pandas are no more or less liquid than any of the other major government issued gold bullion.

I just went and checked completed items on ebay. The graded pandas didn't sell very well. Perhaps the asking prices
were too high. Notice on my original post that I asked about NGC or PCGS pandas, so getting something close to melt
would be out of this discussion.
Other dealers would buy the AGE's but passed on the Panda gold. I'm not saying it's right just my personal experience.
Personally I like the coins design. I will ad I had same experience with Aussie gold too.
<< <i>Sorry pmcollector, I too over looked your TPG question >>
That's ok, I appreciate everyone's input, and even though the heading says "Graded Pandas", we sometimes
are rushing at work and just comment off the last post, as I have done before myself.

That's a scam!
I agree with you, the Pandas are liquid as any other well known bullion, maybe better.

The Panda's that sold below melt are counter-fit
Anyone who has any to sell below melt PLEASE PM me.
If a Panda sells too cheaply check for reasons why. Is the seller US or foreign? What is their feedback?
Many Panda's fail to get reasonable bids because of distrust of the seller. Many use real photos but are NON-US sellers and have low feedback often times many duplicate feedbacks from the same low feedback buyer.
Draw your own conclusions as to why the bids are low.
