Ravens are one tough bunch...I'm hoping we can avoid that return trip in the playoffs..

Though an Eagles fan, I often pull for the Ravens and think they have as good of a chance as any to qualify as the AFC's next Super Bowl representative.
However, the title of this thread prompts the question: "Who is the Raven"?

But the raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour. Nothing further then he uttered - not a feather then he fluttered - Till I scarcely more than muttered `Other friends have flown before - On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before.' Then the bird said, `Nevermore.'
Nevermore! The Ravens battle cry for this week! Nevermore shall we play nice with are opponents, Nevermore shall we give are opponents hope for a win, Nevermore will are Defense blow 4th quarter leads,Nevermore will Tampa Bay win on our field, NEVERMORE! GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The day is here its time for some real football Ravens Steelers style! Big Ben foot seems to be bothering him and hes not sure he wants to come out and play with Ray Ray! Dont worry Ben, Ray Ray wont play rough, so come on out and play, PLEASE come out and play, it wont be the same with out you! Oh and Ben please bring all your friends with you, for I know Ray Ray will have his friends with him, and I know they all want to play! Oh and Ben tell your friends to ware some old cloths they might get dirty playing outside in chilly Baltimore. Oh and one more thing Ben tell you and your friends Moms not to wait up, you might be out a little late as time fly's when your getting your ASSES KICKED! GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Terrific game...Big Ben hangs tough and Polamalu should be a lock for the HOF..

Steelers beat the refs and Ravens. how does Ben get hit in the face - broken nose - and that is not a hit to the helmet call? obvious helmet to helmet on the Miller hit too. If Harrison had said Boo to Flacco it would be a fine and penalty.
Nice to see Harrison interviewed after the game and tell it like it is on the non calls
Its a win, not pretty, yet on the road we will take it! The team will need to step up this week against the Saints to show it still has the capability to play with the big boys. (for 60 minutes!) One thing for sure, watching a Ravens game you get your moneys worth! GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its Sunday morning Saints day! We need Offense to perform for 60 min. Need Defense to perform for 60 min. Need the crowded to be good and loud, and most important in cold weather like we are having in Baltimore need the flask in the pocket to be warm and full! (Trying some Cinnamon Whiskey Fireball!) GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ravens are pretty well locked into the 5 spot. Not a great matchup for round 1 of playoffs if we have to go to Indy. I think we are in good shape against any of the other potential match-ups.
Have some pretty solid Ravens auctions going on right now. As always, I'll thow in extras if anyone from the CU board wants to purchase: forgive all the exclamation points
My hope is that Ravens take care of buisness against Cincinnatti . We're at home , picked by 9-10 points, but the Ravens tend to keep it close. They need to " Git er dun".
Go Browns !!!! Go Ravens !!!!!----- Sonny

I agree with Sonny, GO RAVENS, and GO Browns! GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shaky regular season. Glad it's over. I never thought I could be so uncomfortable with a 12-4 team!
Hopefully something clicks and the Baltimore offense gets going next week. Playing the Chiefs in KC is a very winnable game. Wouldn't want Indy right now.
How about Ed Reed?!? 8 picks in 10 games and the guy is still not 100%!! Dude is locked in.
Yesterday was some good football. A major upset and a thriller.
Today is the Raven's turn. We're picked by 3. The Ravens have been in EVERY game this year , leaving us fans with a touch of vulnerbility and a touch of invulnerbility . We can beat ANYONE. With all of our loses coming in the 4rt quarter , we also know , no lead is safe.
Go Ravens !!!!!!----- Sonny

<< <i>Best of luck next week in Pittsburgh. The next meaningful win by the Ravens against Pittsburgh will be the first! >>
Keep searching the internet for Ravens threads to comment on. Steelers fans, classy as ever!! And you don't even have the sense to be quiet after a dominating Ravens win? hahaha...classic West PA genius.
Thanks to KC for abandoning the run so early! What were they thinking?!? Ravens D was mis-stepping all over the place.
Great pressure up the middle from Kruger and LB stunts. And KELLY GREGG!!! What a monster!! Totally underrated player for like 8 years.
Best part, though...Ravens protected the lead like champs on offense - something they've had a lot of trouble with this season. Maybe it's all coming together?

Its game day, time for the Ravens to take the next big step towards Dallas. It wont be easy but when the dust (or snow) settles The Ravens should win today and move one step closer to Superbowl Sunday! GO RAVENS!!!!

I'm sad , but us Ravens fans are sorta use to losses like this. Ravens gave this one away , even though the Steelers played well , when they needed to. Turnovers played heavy in favor of both teams. Every loss this year has been in the 4th quarter. My wife is very happy.
On to next year. ---- Sonny

Great post game presser from Suggs. Explained the coaching philosophy problem perfectly. They have a two TD lead and stop the first PIT drive after the half and they couldn't finish the job on either side of the ball. Their D plays Prevent and their offense loses its edge and they just INVITE teams to beat them late in games.
Again, lots of reasons for this loss but the theme all year has been shaky scheme decisions and late game collapses. That's an organizational coaching problem. These are the sorts of problems the real elite franchises just don't have. It would be interesting to see what Tomlin or Belichick could do with this group of players.

PIT was better, but that's not saying much.
