Yet not one person here has ever met me or knows anything about me, and I was the one walking in the stores hearing dealers bragging about how they just bent someone over for $2000 and then wanted to sell to me (a regular customer) for top Dollar because an opportunity has presented itself. >>

Maybe you should have used this example instead!

<< <i>You would be amazed at the number of people we have, over the course of a year, complain that we pay less than we sell stuff for (if they are selling), or complain that we sell stuff for more than we pay for it (if they are buying).

You could always turn that on its ear by telling the customer that while you have to pay the gas company $xhundred a month to heat the place, the gas company only gives you $5 a month for all the hot air they need dished out at them. Saying the gas company pays you not only illustrates the buy-sell spread concept, but might also provide entertainment value as the customer tries to figure out how they can get the gas company to pay them.

<< <i><The old "have to pay the electric bill" is one of just many tired lines dealers use. What a joke>

No, I really believe they need to pay the electric bill. Otherwise, it's bring your own flashlight and things tend to get messy. MJ >>

It's clear where all you dealers motives are and that you gotta get each others back to keep the deceit going on the general public. I love it when someone speaks truth & relaity on message boards, and others who have nothing better to do feel like they have to play devils advocate just for the sake of arguing. Have fun talking to yourselves and keeping my thread at the top when you dont agree with me. Now thats irony! Hey, have your opinions. I lived mine regarding this. So you all are saying it's ok for a dealer to rape someone just because that person didnt know what they had? Because thats what youre saying. Charge what the hell ever you guys want. Thats not where my argument is. My argument is dealers taking advantage of innocent people and why i reposted the MAIN part and point of my initial thread at 5:23 PM. But I guess you all only want to see & read what you want to. Thats fine. You have to live with yourselves, I dont.

Now pick all this apart since it's obvious you have the time to. Funny how so much caring is being put on what a nobody like me has to say. Thats saying something in & of itself, now isnt it?
Keep it at the top for days picking apart what is NOT the root of what I initially wrote. rotflmao at you people!!! >>

We probably don't have you figured out, just as you don't have us figured out. Yet you claim to know our (have nothing better to do feel like they have to play devils advocate just for the sake of arguing) reasons for disagreeing with you.

If you had just posted about "how they just bent someone over for $2000 and then wanted to sell to me (a regular customer) for top Dollar because an opportunity has presented itself", I doubt that any of us would have disagreed with you. But that was only part of your post. Before that, you wrote " Pure greed. Bunch of greedy B(you know what) just manipulating the hell out of every dime they can get." And you didn't back it up with any facts, other than that the dealer had previously worked on a 7% to 10% buy/sell margin. And that hardly justified your harsh comment.

Presumably you see that it was dealers AND collectors who disagreed with you. And, contrary to what you stated, not a single person said "you all are saying it's ok for a dealer to rape someone just because that person didnt know what they had?" And you're doing as much as anyone else here to keep this thread at the top.image

    Positioning.....

You have a point, but it was clouded with erroneous information.

You should have said....dealer buy for 50% and sells for 100%, then maybe you have something.

When you run business, you'll find you have real costs....like 15% social security tax, 30% federal tax, state tax....not to mention paying the light bills.

How many thousands of ounces of silver does the guy have to sell to make $50,000 gross???? Well the answer is 3333 ounces. Assuming he is open 270 days a year, he needs to sell 12 ounces per day. Take the $50,000 and the deductions, lights etc, he probably takes $10-15,000 home.

I'd say he tops my greediest person listimage
