Morgan experts: Opinions and value??

My dealer got this coin in and I wanted to see what the team thought as to value. It is a 1921-P in AU, though it has some scratches it has not been cleaned. 4 pictures, first 2 are the clip on obverse and reverse and the second 2 are the BLAKESBY EFFECT obvious in the dentils by R in Plurbus and the dentils by E in one. How rare are these? What do these typically bring and are there any collectors who hunt and collect these?

I do not consider myself 'expert', however, I do see this as PMD. Not a clip. However, let Broadstruck chime in, perhaps I am wrong. Cheers, RickO

The clip looks about as legit as they come, what leads you to believe this? Anyone else care to chime in? Please.

I confused. With the "clip" to the right of the date shouldn't the Blakeslee effect be above TAT in
STATES? Seems not to be opposite.

I thought the effect was directly across the coin, so 180 degrees. Maybe I am wrong. Where should it be so I can get pics?

AUandAG, the clip is on both sides, and the effect is exactly 180 degrees in the dentils on BOTH sides.

Totally real clip. These are somewhat scarce, but not dramatic enough to command a big premium. Probably worth $30-$40.

Rim clips are more common on 1921 Morgans and depending on the overall look of the coin in AU condition GoldenEyeNumis's estimate seems right.
