Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
My grandfather carrying jack Dempsey off the coast guard ship after the war. This was a newspaper photo I was able to get the original image of. Then, I had this framed and matted with two coast guard pictures of each and gave to my grandmother. I need to take a picture of the finished product!
As much as I'd like to limit myself to one item, I will share two. Pretty much the same items I always share in threads like this.
my favorite vintage card, given to me by a collecting friend at a time when I didn't dare dream of ever owning vintage cards of Dodger legends. I still remember how blown away I was by the gesture.
this is the original contract that promoted Brett Butler from AA to AAA, signed by some old ballplayer.
Collecting Clemente master (#6) and basic PSA registry sets, Hank Aaron master and basic sets, Mantle oddball issues, 1970's mega decade HOFs, 1967 Topps pin ups, and high grade Topps Clemente and Aaron. Numerous transactions with over 100 board members.
Vintage Football Collector and Dolphins fan. First Cards ever collected - 1978 Topps Football. Working on a collection of the Top Ten FB Cards of each year from 1957-1987.
My best is a Topps Vault 1984 Topps John Elway Proof card. It's definitely the most valuable and I got it at a steal of a price. It's the full color, cardboard blank back.
Bump. This is not the most expensive card I own, but I think it is the most pristine card I have including a few PSA 10's I own.......it is just a freaking awesome piece of cardboard.

Buying Vintage, all sports. Buying Woody Hayes, Les Horvath, Vic Janowicz, and Jesse Owens autographed items
I had to add this one to the above 2 cards I posted above.
There is a great story behind this card! A few years ago a friend of mine pulled up with a pickup truck. He asked me "Hey you want a bunch of sports cards? If not I am going to burn them because nobody wants them. I said "Sure I will take them." He proceeded to point to the back of his pickup truck and low and behold. The entire back of his 8 foot bed was filled with boxes and boxes of cards. I load them all into the back of my van and drove them to my climate controlled storage unit. While unloading I happened to notice a box that said "1993 Pinnacle Baseball Set - Plus Extras". I opened the box and pulled 4 Jeter rookies from the box. Sent all 4 in to PSA for grading. This card came back Gem Mint and the 3 other cards came back PSA 9 Mint. That is how I acquired this card.

Ron,
Why do you think this didn't get a PSA 10? That Rose looks perfect to me. Dang nice piece of cardboard.

It would be nice to see some of the new stars in items like these.
Currently collecting 1934 Butterfinger, 1969 Nabisco, 1991 Topps Desert Shield (in PSA 9 or 10), and 1990 Donruss Learning Series (in PSA 10).

Well........we're waiting!
I will sell it if the price is right....if not, I am just as happy to keep it!
Hey pokerbot, that Payton RC looks "bumpable". How sweet is it up close??

The card is sharp but I think the L to R centering would get me.
Thanks, Rob.
My Grandfather covered this fight for the Chicago Daily News and I got the program from my Dad a few years ago
This is something I got from Trent, our friend from the north...a card I never thought I would own:
First Cards ever collected - 1978 Topps Football.
Working on a collection of the Top Ten FB Cards of each year from 1957-1987.
<< <i>Great cards, Pokerbot! >>
Thanks Swankdaddy.
If I had to pick one, it would have to be my Cowboy Killer (Bradshaw RC)
If I get the chance I will send it in for a .5 bump
Rob.
My best items:
A ticket stub to the game Bob Horner hit 4 home runs in for Atlanta in 1986.
I have it with the Fleer card from 1987 commemorating his feat.
A team autographed baseball from the 1991 (?) Gastonia (NC) Rangers. They gave
me the ball for making the trip to Augusta Georgia to see them play.
A NASCAR program with Wendell Scott's autograph on it.
I would have to dig through way too many boxes to find this stuff.

1. Sold a different Koufax auto, and came out with this one and some change in my pocket.
2. I ALWAY forget that I even own this card. I need to get it slabbed on one of these group subs.
3. A pretty recent addition, that I waited almost a year for. The best American soccer player ever doesn't sign a lot TTM, so I feel lucky to have it.
Only an idiot would have a message board signature.
