Merc dime in change

Today my mother-in-law stopped over kind of excited to show me what she picked up today. A well circulated 1916 Merc, prolly an AG/G nice dark surfaces. I saw the date and told her "well it might be worth a house payment or maybe a bottle of pop." She was giddy for me to turn it over. Low and behold....no MM. But hey thought it would be nice to share it with the crowd.

Nice find! I have gotten a Buffalo nickel in change at Wendy's before, and a few 1964 quarters.
Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

I have only received one Merc in change this year. Thought I might get more due to the economy. Cheers, RickO
  • I can't remember the last time that happened to me, cool!
