Story says three more also reported from a different area.
    They are out there.

Too bad PCGS won't be attributing them.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Sorry, it's just the way I've come to feel about this stuff.

    different areas???

did they give any indication of bank rolls, mint rolls, or direct ship?
(cause dif. areas sounds like direct ship or a major set of foul ups, but direct ship is more likely)

All in Mint Sets, with the Satin Finish. I meant that they were reported by two different people, so its not just one batch that got shipped to one person.

I swear! They'll stoop to any length just to get me to order more of those stupid, low quality, overpriced mint sets! image

It is kind of cool that they were in Mint sets. You don't have to break the coins out
of the packaging to check the edge, as the entire edge is visible through the plastic
    "bubble."

Exactly the same as the 2008 Annual Dollar Sets which had the MEL Monroe Dollars.

The fact that these things are in mint sets makes it even more suspect. These satin finish coins are akin to Proof coins, which means they should get more scrutiny before they are issued. So how did they get through the quality check?

But coins from the mint … with the lottery for the lucky few ….

The mint mailed me a 1988-P 180 degree rotated reverse Kennedy in a mint set back ina day. I didn't recognize it for some months. A local guy thought it was worth $500 to him, to which I gladly agreed.
