Weird coin related dream last night

LanLordLanLord Posts: 11,726 ✭✭✭✭✭
As I lay, quietly dreaming last night, the numismatist was hard at work.

The dream: I was handed some change at a local supermarket, I stopped to look at what I had.
Low and behold, there was a broadstruck cent in my change. imageimage AND it was a 1953, but when I turned it over, it had a memorial reverse.
My inner numismatist knew this to be impossible so I looked closer at the date, WHT? Now it was a 1960! image

How I could mistake a 1960 for a 1953 is beyond me image but at least my knowledge of what is and what should be corrected my numismatically incorrect REM state image

My weird numismatic dream from last night - I placed an order on a website for 30 1 oz gold eagles (where I would get the money I don't know, but dreams are dreams right) - only it turned out I wasn't ordering 30 1 oz gold eagles, but rather 30 tubes of 1 oz gold eagles, each tube having 50 coins in it. So the guy in the dream is telling me how to handle the purchase since the total is between 1.5 and 2 million. And I'm like what the heck do I do now, my wife is gonna kill me. Then I woke up.

Actually had a coin dream last night. I received a 1919 Lincoln cent from a purchase on ebay yesterday. Last night I dreamed that I was so enthralled by it's strike and beautiful pink hues, that I failed to notice that it was the size of a quarter. Surmised in my dream that the Lincoln must be a knock-off from China, so I sent it back. What's even more strange is that it was in a PCGS holder. imageShag

Coin dreams??? Uh oh... maybe it is time for a break......image Cheers, RickO
  • I used to dream all the time of getting Liberty V-nickels, Barber era, and 1920s-30s era coins in change. I'm often annoyed to wake up. I think it's a version of the wish-fulfillment dream, like as a young child my dreams of finding thousands of Lego bricks scattered in our back yard, as if it grew from the wild.

I had a dream I was putting a really straight and shiny roll of quarters into a really dark, fuzzy coin tube, over and over. Wonderwhatitmeans?

Maybe your medications are too strong. Mine have the same effect on me, strange dreams.
    And at my age too.

Here's my suggestion for your problem: Eat a big chunk of raw garlic just before you go to bed.image

I'm afraid that would ruin what I dream about! image
