Sterling silver find

I went into town today to close a safety deposit box, I hadn't been in it since I moved "to the country" 20 years ago. I was looking for a copy of my service discharge, but what I found was that the box was stuffed with a sterling silver service set, it must weigh 10 pounds! It belonged to an ex-wife, I remember her thinking it had been stolen during some house renovations and I think she filed an insurance claim. Now I have to decide if I'm going to tell her about it.image

Ummm..... and also..... if an insurance claim was submitted and paid, the silver may belong to the insurance company. I'd be careful here.

probably not a good idea to be posting your find in a public forum because of the ex-wife and insurance.

What a coincidence. I just went looking for my DD-214 as well. I needed it to buy a Garand from the CMP.

That's not true. In California, the statute does not extend beyond the discovery phase of divorce if there is one.
In a mediated agreement, the property in possession of the respective parties following the judgment is theirs.

No, I missed it.image Smiley winks can undo sarcasm but don’t work too well with misinformation.
