Ebay: PayPal vs. CC

Maybe someone can explain this to me....I just bought some confiscated TSA items (sharp objects) from a state surplus site on Ebay. The ONLY method of payment offered was credit card. How can they get away with bypassing PayPal as THE payment source. This was NOT a CC choice through PP...PP never came up...... just CC.

When gold and silver move together, it signals the coming end of fiat money.
Now I prefer paypal to credit cards since I get a better rate (2.2%) and it is much more conveneint. No monthly charge. Supposedly, if you don't have a paypal account, you can still make a credit card paypment thru paypal. I'm planning to cancel my credit card service provider as not cost effective.

For most categories, sellers need to offer one or more of the following electronic payment choices:
PayPal
ProPay
Moneybookers
Paymate
Credit card or debit card processed through the seller's Internet merchant account

That's a violation of eBay policy.

Now you've outed him and his auctions will all be reported within the hour.
(p.s. not by me)

I don't think that's really much of a concern here. But, if we were over on one of the eBay boards, it would be more like a minute.
