$6/Card Submission, 2 week turnaround, Pay when grades are available!!

That's right!!

I'm taking submissions for $6 a card and a two week turnaround and top it off you don't pay until your cards are graded.

25 card minimum and 100 maximum. 1960's to Present!! Baseball only for now!!

No waiting for others just send your cards to me and they will be sent off immediately to PSA for grading, separately from other submissions.

Step 1: Make list for your own records and just send the cards to me in penny sleeves and a card saver I. No labeling of the cards!

Step 2: Once I receive the cards I send to PSA same or next day with priority mail.

Step 3: Cards are received at PSA and then graded in two weeks from receive date. You will get an email from me with the order receive date and quantity of cards.

Step 4: Cards are graded in two weeks or less, I send out email or phone call to you to pay me with paypal with a grand total with PSA shipping charges. When paying with paypal it has to be personal and payment owed out of your checking account, because there are no fees on my end or yours. If you rather pay with credit card that is fine to with paypal you just have to pay the fees. So, if your total is $600 you pay the $600 plus 3.5% for fees for a total of $621. Once payment is made I send out email to you with all the grades.

Step 5: Cards are mailed to me and then mailed the same day or next day to you with priority mail.

Step 6: You receive cards. Total turnaround maybe 4 weeks.

Details: If cards are not graded for any reason you lose your $6 for that card. No trimmed cards please, you will lose your $6!!

Shipping: Paid by me to PSA and to your house after I receive cards in mail from PSA. You pay for shipping to me of course and shipping from PSA to me. You can find PSA shipping prices on any submission form or their website.

Paying: You can pay in advance but you don't have to until the grades are done. Once payment is sent to my through paypal you will receive grades same day through email.

Any questions you can email me at roland_bracken@yahoo.com or call me at (979)230-6678.

Thanks,

Roland

Looks like a little profit scheme. Submitter probably has a bulk deal with PSA, so the more cards he submits the lower the rate. Has a turnaround time as well. So he makes up some of his own grading fees by charging more than what he actually pays, with the carrot being you get your cards back faster plus you don't have to pay until the cards are ready.

I don't really begrudge him for it, but littering all the boards with the promo is excessive. As for the offer.....................I'll. Pass.

I aree. OP is likely looking at making $1 a card or like, nothing big.

Not sure if I would trust the people to pay when it was done, or that I would trust an extra party in the middle of my cards, no offense to OP. Doesnt seem like the $1 would be worth for either side....but who knows. Someone without a membership might find this of interest.

    Only Baseball??

If you took Basketball I'd send you some cards and give ya a chance....

I don't have a membership and I'm not paying 100.00 for 6 gradings (I don't have anything high end so it's useless) and access to pop reports (again could care less) and SMR (again useless) At this point paying for a membership just doesn't apeal to me in the slightest....

As long as the OP is trustworthy I don't see anything wrong with what he's doing...

Actually sounds like a good deal if you send 25 cards. He's paying for shipping to PSA and to your house. This is cool if you don't have a membership.

Here's the problem: Does anyone know this guy?---Other than he has some nice collection of Ryans. I would like a little bit more info. He also does not state any declared value====I'm getting out the Mantle's.

No, you pay the shipping (3 times). Still not a bad deal if you do not have a membership and know the OP.

Your're paying for shipping to get the cards to the OP and from PSA to the OP.
  • Sorry declared value of less than $500.

For those who don't know me, I just won the Best Modern Player Set of the Year for 2010 for my Nolan Ryan Master Set. I've retired it and decided to sell it off. It was a goal of mine and I finished that goal and thought I'd share how I got to 100% so fast and added over 750 cards to the set since starting it. I didn't wait around for 40 business days for my cards to come back.

If want to do a submission with me, I stated I would pay for shipping from my house to your house well, that could get really expensive so YES you have to pay for shipping to me and from PSA to me and then from me to you. I will take care of the rest.

YES I WILL TAKE basketball, football cards as well now.

Any other questions please PM me or email me at roland_bracken@yahoo.com or call me at (979)230-6678.

You do appear to be right. You pay the shipping twice, not three times...still, the extra shipping is from having the extra person in the middle.

In a different note, the OP should remove the 2 week turnaround in the thread title....when it is 4 weeks in the description. That is misleading. It is like having FREE in the title and a handling fee in small writing at bottom.

Edit: I guess I was right. You pay the shipping three times.

I knew this couldn't end well.

Roland, you probably saved yourself a lot of grief by pulling the offer anyway. Imagine someone sending you their cards and accusing you of swapping them with lesser examples...

Too much risk for such a blanket offer.

This is a shame because I was going to send 6 or so cards to send off for me and save me from having to re-up my membership at the National. I wish the boards didnt have to be so leary at such gestures Roland, but unfortunately to many have been scammed by to many people lately.

    Roland,

This board is like skating on the first ice of winter. If you just barge into the lake with no precaution you'll likely get wet. Just like dragging a heavy rock across the ice first, you've got to ease into these things. An introduction, past dealings, reason for the offer, etc. on the front end would have saved some aggravation on the back end.

    I agree with you.
  • You 've got to have the salesman approach. Intro, idea, why, basically the "what's in it for me". It took a couple minutes but the idea made sense when it came to membership fees. You may as well stat there, taking mass monthly submissions from board members
  • Alright, I will do this but not right now. Let me finish selling off my Ryan collection and then I will.

If any of you would like any cards out of my collection and can't afford it now I will be happy to take payments. I've already set up two collectors with payments. I can only do a down payment and the rest broken up in three months. I've got most of my expensive ones on eBay and will end them if anyone wants to buy them over 3 months. The asking price for the cards is the minimum bid price.

    Thanks,
