WOULD ANYONE HELP OUT A FELLOW COLLECTOR WITH VCP PRICING? I MUST SELL MY PSA BALTIMORE COLTS COLLECTION DUE TO ECONOMIC TIMES. IT CONSISTS OF ABOUT 150 FROM 1950 TO 1972, 95% PSA 8. I WOULD SEND YOU MY LIST VIA EXCEL AND YOU COULD RETURN IT WITH THE CURRENT PRICES. I AM TRYING TO GET THE MOST OUT IT. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.

Gotta agree with Ivan on this one.

agreed. Asking for a price every once in a while is one thing, asking for a collections worth of pricing is just asking too much of another person and stealing from vcp.

  • I thought someone could help a person out down on their luck. You guys give collectors a bad name. What a bunch of douche bags!!!!! You guys would rather trash talk than help. Isutigers thanks but that's ok. I never knew they had a one day subscription.
  • GriffinsGriffins Posts: 6,076 ✭✭✭
I"m more than happy to help anyone, down on their luck or not. But you're asking for someone to spend 6-10 hours researching prices on their account, and I don't see that you're willing to put in a comparable amount of effort and resources. Besides, the guys that run vcp have families too, and if you can't cough up $4-10 for a service you obviously value then I don't see why anyone here should put themselves out.
I hope things turn around for you. Sincerely.

Wow, that hurts...deep down inside, truly hurts.

You were given a very simple and fast response with the very first reply. Your entitled response is really sad and commonplace. Your right, it's our fault we don't want to do hours of work for someone for free who just shows up. At least no one did waste their time and then find out how you act when people don't do your bidding at the drop of your Caps Locked post and thinly veiled attempts to garner sympathy. My condolences to you

I agree with all the other members on this one. The OP apparently doesn't realize how time consuming it is to look up all those prices. The best thing for him would be to pay the $5 for the 24 hour sub......

In your original post you made no mention of being down on your luck

how was anyone here to know that?

Certainly you have the 4.00 to buy a 1 day subscription?

One last point, good luck to you.

Geez what a surprise! My lil troll Swartzie.

    Two appearances in one day!

Economic times, and being down on ones luck could be interpreted different ways.

I'm living through the same economic times and am selling items and am not down on my luck.

So glad you could drop by and make a fool of yourself, again.

If you were thinking about asking for someone to scan and list your cards too, I think you may be going about it the wrong way.

    WOW! Even ballsier!

Listen Sport . . . whether you are "down on your luck" or having "economic" difficulty, you DO NOT have the right to disrespect others for not raising their hands and offering to, in essence, violate the rules of VCP by furnishing you with FREE VCP pricing for a laundry list of cards.

Spend the tiny stipend necessary for a 24 hour subscription (as was initially suggested), look up the cards, get your prices and go on your merry way.

Do you even comprehend the volume of time and effort that you were asking for from others without EVER establishing ANY sort of relationship with ANY of us? Seriously, if you consider OUR TIME to be so valueless that you would be upset that no one offered to help, then you, Sport, are not only "down on your luck," but you are absent any sort of common sense...

Sometimes it's best to let trolls think they are smart.

    Steve
    Good for you.
  • ***Honestly trying to help***

OP, perhaps you could post just two or three cards you think might be in the right price range, get a kind soul to give you the VCP on 'em, put 'em up for sale over at BST, and then use the proceeds to get a day or month subscription to VCP.

I know when things are tough it's really about the principle of the thing. You've decided not to spend money unnecessarily, and by God, you're really gonna try not to try money unnecessarily. Been there. Good luck.

i agree with otwcards... well said. i don't think people are really upset about the cost or ripping off VCP. I think the issue is asking someone to spend the time to look up 150 cards. Even if the service was free, its a lot to ask to someone to take that much time to do a favor someone they don't even know
