What is this? It's not a 1932 Orbit Gum Pin like I was told (Jimmy Foxx)

I bought this today at a local show. I was told it was a 1932 Orbit Gum Pin. It looked just like the SCD picture (black and white). This pin is black and white. I got home and looked on Ebay and all of the 1932 Orbit Gum Pins are in color and the Jimmy Foxx is a different pose. Also, the 1932 Orbit Pins have a metal "pin" on the back. This as a flat metal tab folded over and going through the little card that it came with.

Does anybody know what this is?

And you got the card too.

Many times you just see the pin.

Thanks. I just found them in the Standard. Only values half of what an Orbit Pin books at. Oh, well.

    << <i>I was told it was a 1932 Orbit Gum Pin >>

It's amazing how many people don't know - on some things - what they're selling - or took advantage?

It says "Our National Game" right on the card.

The card's in great shape whereas the pin is rather poor - if I had that card - I would switch it out with a good pin as a combo - sometimes the pin's in pretty good shape but the card is all messed up - it's so nice, it almost looks repro - doubt anyone would take the time tho.

If you don't mind - how much was he asking?

  • If the card is real $35 for the pin and card is not a bad deal. Pin is a little rough but you got at a decent price.

I figured it wasn't too bad. However, I'm more exited about the 16 1954 Dan Dees that are in SUPERB condition! image
