LIttle lead skater girl...

She popped out of the ground behind my house yesterday at the hillside dump! It's a Barclay toy from the 40s.

It's amazing how bright the lead-based paint still is.

    Nice find... and it shows how good the lead based paint is.... of course, the panic stricken minority who follow every hue and cry over real or imagined dangers, once again had their way and outlawed a viable product. Much like DDT... which, when all the studies were in, found there was NO scientific evidence that it caused any wildlife problem, plus, it is still the most effective insecticide known to science.     I found a little ballerina about that size a few years back.

    That's a very nice find.
    Like you say, the paint looks to be in excellent condition.

    Now you need to find more of them to complete the whole series! image
