Tried to load via that link and it would not load. Came up as "file damaged - unrepairable." Went to the ZeroHedge website and tried to read the full article and got the same response.

.....finally worked the 3rd time. Probably more a problem with my older computer.

Refreshing to read a gold "analysis" that isn't filled with dozens of half-truths and handed-down folklore. Can't say I found any issues with the facts in the article.

Here's a very short piece by John Embry on reasons to own gold.

    Link

Not by any means comprehensive...To be shown to those with short attention spans.

Sounds like typical BS you get from people trying to sell you gold. Own gold 'cause you want to.

Which of the 17 points do you think is BS? Or, do you think the entire article is BS?

If someone going to BS you about buying gold it won't take 17 points or 19 pages in a PDF file, sheesh.

Can someone provide 17 points as to why J6P should invest in US Dollars longer term? (2-5 yrs). I can provide the first 3 points but would be at a loss from there.

    1. It's the reserve currency of the world "backed" by the nation with the largest economy and military on earth. And because it's the reserve currency the US govt/treasury/FED/banks have the power to print/create any amount of it that they desire to better "stabilize" crisis situations.

    2. It's currently holding it's own better than most other depreciating currencies (ie. the strongest of the symbolic fiat currencies).

    3. The FRN (debt/IOU) is guaranteed by the full faith and credit of the US. Govt.

17 reasons to own gold - John Embry

This link is only 2-3 pages and much more condensed. The problem is, one can't get close to 17 reasons to own paper fiat.

Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!

Credit of the US Govt. is becoming more and more questionable. Keep an eye on their "credit rating."

Gold and silver do not need to be guaranteed by any government.
