In the four major pro sports, which active players have the earliest card(s)?

For example, in MLB, I believe that Jamie Moyer's 1987 Topps, Fleer, and Donruss all qualify. Gary Sheffield gets an honorable mention.

Only counting major issue cards of the player in an MLB uniform, which active players have the earliest card in:

MLB?
NFL? Is it a Junior Seau card? (other than kickers like John Carney?)
NBA?
NHL? Is it a Chris Chelios card perhaps?

Add a card scan if you have one!

Pretty sure he hung it up, but John Carney was active for much of the 2009 season with the Saints (older than Favre)

easily Chelios (played most of the year with the Chicago Wolves in the AHL) but did play 7 games with the Thrashers. His rookie card was 84-85 OPC.

Although if you include INTL leagues, Dominik Hasek just signed to play in the KHL at 45 years old.

after that you have 6 AARPers who had rookies in the 90-91 sets
    Modano
    Mark Recchi
    Rob Blake
    Owen Nolan
    Scott Niedermayer (World Juniors card)
    Darryl Sydor
  • Ya Seau has the 1990 Action Packed. I think thats the earliest.
  • Is Favre active? Or, did he retire again? Does he even know?
  • Below are two of Jamie Moyer's 1987 cards. It is just amazing to me that one could buy either of these cards more than 23 years ago - and Moyer was active the day that wax pack was opened all the way until...today.

NFL? It sounds like Junior Seau's 1990 Action Packed.
    NBA? 1992 Hoops Shaquille O'Neal (?)
NHL? Chris Chelios is barely an active NHLer yet it's amazing to know that the above fact applies to an even older card here - a 1984-85 O-Pee-Chee. Amazing!

I just got these signed TTM. I was very surprised that Moyer still signs for free TTM. It is nice to see that after all these years he is still very accommodating to the fans.
