what is more annoying.......

when someone posts a thread about Pujols

or....

when someone tries to derail a Pujols thread by saying we are jock sniffers?

Because this board has chased away MOST if not all Pujols Fans......

Start a Pujols thread and BAMM, within a few minutes the wise asses come out Strong!

I would agree it is rude to derail a thread. One can simply skip over a thread they are not interested in or don't care for the object of discussion. It is a free country and one can sniff any jock they want. One question though. If Pujols naysayers are wise asses are Pujols fans the dumbasses?

The fact that the Pujols threads get hijacked and derailed is a shame, because there is some valuable information in there.

However, I think part of the issues is the approach that some of the Pujols supporters take (and have subsequently alienated or turned off many unconcerned posters) and how if they are asked a question, answer it in an abrasive or immediately go on the defensive. It has been true more often then not.

It is probably the same reason that there is such a divided group on the subject. The fans that can't take a joke and must defend everything they "think" is an attack, the fans that think anyone that doesn't follow their line of thought is a "Pujols hater," and those that have to attack a Pujols fan whenever they have the opportunity just to get a reaction.

But then again, some people just like to make mountains our of molehills.

Perhaps everyone should step back and ask themselves, WWAPD?

I once answered a question that Fandango asked and was jumped for it.

    The question was :

Will Pujols be remembered like Ruth.

I simply answered "no', of course that was NOT the answer Fandango was looking for and

his fantacism kicked into high gear.

Actions like that are why some here answer him the way that they do.

Maybe if he ignored answers he disliked or countered in a respectful way people

would not think of him like the dbotw that he seems to be.

I noticed Fandango gets annoyed when folks refer to the city of Saint Louis, when Fandango believes the city should be renamed Saint Albert.

thread hi-jacks are far less annoying than people who inappropriately capitalize random words like "Fans", "Bamm", or "Strong".

I think it's more annoying when someone is so obsessed by one thing that they can not rationally discuss said one thing... and they don't realize how annoying it is to the non-obsessed people since the obsessed person is so over-the-top obsessed.

OK, I will post a positive reply to this thread.

A friend of mine was a the Dodgers game yesterday and saw a guy sitting near the Cards dugout get a bat signed by one of the Cardinals....It was Albert. Very cool I say.

What a drama queen. You start a thread like this thinking it will get negative Pujols talk going so you can call everybody trolls, talk about how great Albert is, etc.... It doesn't create what you want so then you try to incite another board member. Give it a rest Fandango.
