1914 S WHEAT F12 circulation find

I opened my register today and saw a 1914. I saw a mintmark and naturally hoped it was a "d". It was an "s" in f12. There are still many great finds out there.

Actually, a good thing. Had it been a "D" mint it would have been more than likely an altered 1944-D. Your 1914-S is a terrific find.

Very cool. I found a 1912 in a roll back in March. It's not in great shape and needs to be upgraded, but it was a date I didn't have so I was thrilled with that. Oldest coin I've gotten in circulation to date.

The 1912-P was always a surprisingly hard coin to find in circulation or in rolls back in the day.

I still have my 1924 D in AG I found searching rolls back in 1964. In fact it has a place of honor in my AU-MS Capital plastic Board set. But I must say finding a 1914 S was never accomplished even back then...Great find.
