That shot of LIBERTY messes with my head, it's like looking at the craters on the moon. My mind see's incused when I know the letters are raised above the surface. Concentrate or cover up a portion of the image, it pops back to raised, blink and it's incused again. arrrrrrrrrrg. cool

Took me about 4 tries to get LIBERTY to stand out instead of looking incused. I have a headache now.

Cheap old wide angle lenses and zooms make good reversed lenses. Just gotta make sure that the lens has an aperture ring so you can set the aperture when you shoot. Can be any old brand, just gotta make sure that your reversing ring and the lens are the same size or you have an appropriate adapter.

Thank you for the greatest tip of all time. If anyone is wondering further if this works, IT DOES. I ordered a ring 10 minutes after reading your post, got it today. Didnt really try and get the best lighting or focus so my pics stink next to yours but here they are.

Actually, if I look at the 'field' hard and long enough, I can get 'it' to stand out in relationship to the devices.
Great shots!
