Very nice. I like the stacks of the 1 oz bars!

I like it all! image Glad to see you're not picky about those plastic wrappers.

Alot of it (maybe half) came in mylar or plastic. They immediately get cut out and the plastic goes into the trash where it belongs. This is bullion, not rare coins. Its meant to be stacked up, unstacked, and stacked up again. Not meant to be wiped with a diaper on Sunday afternoons! Anyone with me on this?

WOW Gecko! That is amazing! Beautiful stash! Perfect size bars (I don't like the big ones) and great variety!

Now I have a couple of questions for you, if you don't mind.
I don't see fractionals or generic silver rounds/bars or 90%. Don't you count them or have you just got rid of them?
How do you store all those bars? I have all mine into airtites or plastics.

I am close to my goal of 200oz (5 to go), then I will balance the ratio with some gold.

    Thanks for sharing these pictures!

Edited to add: just saw your reply. I am not with you even though you are right saying they are just bullions.
I usually get rif of the plastic because it contains PVC but I like them scratch free and shiny! image

Ciccio. I have only a small handful of 90%...most of it culled from change. I have a few pieces of fractionals...but not much at all. I have some generic....maybe 10-15 oz, and then a few other oddball things that round it off to about 35-40 oz total. With the exception of the ASEs in original tubes, I take no special care in storing the bullion. Airtites are for sissies! image
But if YOU like your bullion to be immaculate, thats your perogative. This hoard is simply a stash of silver bullion by known refiners to be used as a store of value. There is nothing "collectible" about a 1, 5, or 10 oz brick of silver. I have never turned away an opportunity to buy at a good price because of scuff marks....I have never offered, or been offered a higher price for non scuffed bars. It simply doesnt matter to me, or 97% of the people who buy/sell bulk amounts of this metal. If they had any numismatic value at all, I would be sure to keep them pristine. But the truth is, they dont. 924 ounces of slightly scratched, scuffed bars is worth exactly the same as 924 ounces of bars in plastic. Ever seen how the U.S. Mint or any central bank treats their gold bars? I treat these in much the same manner.

I think it's a matter of quantity. I understand that you can't take good care of 1,000oz while it's easier for me with only 200.
Also, I may need to sell some piece in the near future, not 10 years from now, and few scratches could make a little difference.
I am a newbie and I want to enjoy my bars, not only put them aside. Maybe it will be different in few years.

Oh, I gotta go. It's sunday, I need to wipe them with a diaper! LOL

    Thanks again!

Yeah, I'm with you. I keep mine wrapped anyway but they sure don't stack as nice as yours. Good job!

    Got Silver?

Y'all know my thoughts: I'd rather have original bars in original plastic.

Put it this way: at a coin show, or swap meet, or wherever, me and gecko have side by side tables. Identical bullion, mine sealed, his unsealed. Whose would you buy first?

But to continue Gecko's Sunday Silver porn theme:

    Heh heh heh...

Took a couple shots before it all went back to the vault

    100 oz struck JM
    100 oz poured JM
    100 oz poured Sheffield
    100 oz extruded Eng
    100 oz poured OPM
50 oz poured JM (lying flat)
    22 1-oz generic buffaloes

Too lazy to bring home the 90% and the small bars.

I have vowed to add nothing larger than 10....Im a sucker for divisibility. You have problems trying to use a $100 bill today at most places....imagine trying to use a 50oz silver bar in a SHTF scenario! It'll be like trying to break a $5,000 bill by then!image

I'm the first to extol the virtues of divisibility. I'm still a bigger fan of 90% than I am of any other silver vehicle.

But I'm also a fan of diversity, and I'm not all about the SHTF, either. Sometimes It's just a simple hedge or investment.

So as of right now I'm very roughly 1/3 90%, 1/3 small bars, and 1/3 big bars. I'm heaviest to 90%, lightest to small bars. But it's roughly 1/3 each.

HA Weiss that is exactly what I like to see and do - goodies in the chests!

If I ever have kids they will be getting pirate chests like that, full of shiny/old things, comics, cards, etc when I kick the bucket.

Here's my newps from this week from dcarr
