Copper spots on gold

I rail about toned coins, but I find myself liking copper spots on gold.
They literally add a spark of color to a coin. Here's one I got about a year and a half ago. Statue of Liberty $5 gold:
Pic doesn't do it justice--it's goes from cobalt to magenta.
And the reverse of this week's new 1/4 eagle. I specifically picked this one out of a half-dozen my dealer had because I liked the "burning bush" spot on this one:
I just realized as I was typing this that they're both 1986 products. Wonder if that's a coincidence or if there were issues with '86 gold?

But I've got multiple examples of each of these pieces. It's kind of neat to see uninterrupted repetitions and then...POW! Flaming orange or cobalt.

But I don't like toned bars/coins and junk silver either.
Is there anything wrong with me?
