stumbled upon a guy on craiglist selling a bunch of vintage stuff. Included is this Ruth figurine:

    I would say it is some kid's art project from school. Possibly a "special needs" kid. Man, that thing is UGLY.

    Any idea what size it is?

    Looks similar to the old lead soldiers they used to make back in the day.

    Looks to be a homemade art project, not a production run. Please God don't let it be a production run lol...

    I have seen lots of those. They are actually recently made, but made to look old. It is a doorstop. Don't pay a lot for it, they can be found pretty easily.

    I'll have to ask my autistic son if he has ever made anything like this when he gets home from school today. I'll let you know.

    Excellent detective work.

    That was why I asked about the size because that picture is extremely deceiving as to how big it is.

    Now all one does is buy it and set it out in the elements and let it get some rust and then sell it off as an original vintage piece like I have seen many so called antique dealers do with reproductions.
