I have purchased several really interesting errors from Fred, and he is who I refer anyone looking for neat errors, or who have error questions. He really is the go-to error guy, that's for sure!
"... if you've seen a handsome, bearded coin expert on television, it was Fred Weinberg ..."
Really? I thought that was Don Kagin! Ouch! That had to hurt!
Seriously...all those nice things they said about Fred are right on the mark. He is truly a gem of a person. Of course, I attribute most of that to Kathy who is the beautiful and charming (and non-bearded) person always by his side at the shows.
A stop at their table is a visit to an island of sanity in a sea of numismatic nonsense. Oh...and let's not forget those cool error coins!

I had the pleasure of meeting Fred @ the ANA in Fort Worth recently... definitely a great guy who was very helpful. He actually signed off on some errors I was submitting to PCGS at the show, which saved a couple/few weeks of grading time!

Who is writing that? I want them writing for me.
Handsome, cute, likes long walks on a beach at sunset, will listen to ... Sorry
Aside from the "Don Kagin" comment, (LOL), thanks to all for the very kind words............
Also, Lane is 1,000 per cent correct - Kathy, who's worked with me for 25 years, is the real gem here in the office, and the ANA shows that she attends.

I think Fred was born with a beard. $1,000,000.00 to the first person to come up with a pic of him sans whiskers.................................................................................................... ................................................................didn't think so.
Photos of me without a full beard are pretty darn rare.
That one in last months Coin World from early 1973 at the West Point Depositiory showed me with what was kinda 'in' then - Muttonchop Sideburns (almost a full beard)
