Expensive I know. But they did a nice job on it. Would not mind owning something like it someday if I could find one reasonable.

    Its only about 4x melt. Im sure you have a few dozen (if not a few hundred) coins that fall into the same or more expensive bracket as 4x melt!

    I bought a few of these for $15/ea when copper was around $4/lb.

    They make nice gifts and with gold's density being 2.2X copper, they are the exact size of a kilo gold bar. image

    Since when is a copper bar considered to be bullion? I thought the term "bullion" only applied to precious metals.

    Did you notice in the pic that she is holding the copper bar with white gloves on? Polished copper with quickly discolor if exposed to the air and handled with bare hands. Unless very carefully stored, it will eventually turn brown.

    There was a guy on one of the forums that I visit, can't recall which one now, that polishes these things and sells them. He buys copper bar stock like pictured, then cuts, hand polishes, and stamps it . . . Quite time consuming. He had pics of the bar stock in-the-rough & of a bar being worked. . . The stock very rough before polishing. Pretty interesting . . . According to him the bar stock is quite expensive, way over spot price.

    Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set:
    1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
    Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
