Silver Bullion Question...

in Precious Metals
1oz random silver bullion bars... selling for $20 each. Do I buy them or not? They are an assortment of names, but I figured I would just buy them all. Your thoughts? Yes, no?

Edited to add... he also has 1 gram gold Sunshine mint bars for $47.

    No a good deal in my opinion. Silver is $18.69 as I type. That means you're paying $1.31 per ounce premium. That's silver eagle premium in my recent experience.

    Apmex has generic bars for $.99 over spot. Unless you're pressed for time, I think you could do better if you search around.

    Not pressed. It was a local deal, and if it would be worth the simplicity I would have done it.

    I bought 300 ounces of all Engelhard bars just yesterday at 70 cents over spot. There are better deals to be had than $1.31 over!
