"I will not buy anything... I will not buy anything..." (Newps)

I headed off to the local monthly show this morning telling myself that I won't buy anything, including metals since I thought that they are already quite high.

I walk in and the very first thing I saw was half a case full of silver rounds and bars with a sign saying "Silver, $20.xx per ounce". What I was telling myself just before I walked in just flew right back out of the door. I asked to take a look, and found an amazing assortment of bars and rounds. Being a college student with quite limited funds, I had to pick wisely... otherwise, I probably would have easily walked out with 50 ounces more.

Here are my picks!

My newps:

1) A-Mark 1 oz. mini, nothing special except that I've always wanted one.
2) Pamp Suisse 1 oz. Fortuna... not by any stretch is it in good condition, but I've always wanted one of these also!
3) 3 oz. Nevada bar... I bought it with a vague recollection that these did carry some premium. If someone could please help me on this, I would appreciate it!
4) NORFED $50 Liberty Dollars, 5 oz. I know NORFED does carry some premium, especially after they got into trouble with the government. Thought it was cool.

I think I did decently considering I got these near melt.

After the show, I headed down to a used book/electronics shop and found an iPhone 3G in their case. I opened up the box, looked at it and it looks like I was the one who opened up a sealed box. Took a look at the usage history, and it all shows 0 in the usage history, and that it hasn't been cleared... So I was impressed.

I've been buying cheap books as I go along my yard sale route and trading in for credit what they'll take and donating the rest. I've accumulated around $1,100 in credit at that store so I decided I'll buy it and put it up for sale on eBay after I make a call to AT&T to make sure everything checks out. So I'll be able to cover the cost of my purchase with this purchase image

All in all, I'm thrilled to have been able to experience picking through silver for my collection without killer premiums! I guess I had a pretty fun Sunday!

nice score man. At first, I thought the iPhone was covering up a 100oz. bar you didn't want us to see, then I realized it was the box. image

The NCM (Nevada Coin Mart) bar is your nicest pick. Although they do carry a premium, the 3oz carries the smallest as compared to the 2oz and the 1oz pieces. You could expect to get perhaps $3-$5/oz over spot on that bar if offered in an ebay auction.
